Oakeshott Type XV (a?) Sword w/ "S" Shaped Cross Guard

Date: circa 1470 — 1500

Period: late 15th century

Description: Sword, blade with marks and traces of brass inlay. Wheel pommel with recessed for ornament. The pommel does not belong - it should be rectangular. Blade has been remounted on the hilt: marks of vice are visible on blade and tang has been pointed over to disguise fresh filed/polished surface after re-mounting.
